The Imagine Cup is an annual worldwide series of technology competitions focused around Microsoft technology. Students have the power to make fundamental changes, through technology, for the world.

Now in its eighth year, the Imagine Cup has grown to be a truly global competition focused on finding solutions to real world issues. The competition encourages the world's most talented software designers, programmers, game developers, and digital media enthusiasts to tackle, head on, issues related to: hunger relief, poverty, education, disease control, healthcare, the environment, and other crucial problems facing our world today.
Each year the Finals are held in a different city of the world. Past Worldwide Finals include Cairo, Egypt (2009); Paris, France (2008); Seoul, South Korea (2007); Delhi, India (2006); Yokohama, Japan (2005); Sao Paulo, Brazil (2004); and Barcelona, Spain (2003). The Imagine Cup 2010 Worldwide Finals will be held in Warsaw, Poland this summer.
